“Memento” versus “Souvenir”

Memento
偶然看到這兩個單字”memento” “souvenir“，眼睛先生都說它們叫「紀念品」
有什麼不同呢？我年過半百的阿姨教我：
memento是指具紀念性的東西
ex：母親節送媽媽的衣服；父親節送爸爸的體脂計；6/20布雷送我小閃亮亮小石頭
這些都是具紀念性的禮物
souvenir是指local的紀念品
ex：去宜蘭玩買宜蘭餅請同事吃；年初去峇里島買當地手工品分送給朋友們
這些比較local的禮物就是souvenir
話說，我阿姨真的很厲害，年過半百的她，學英文約莫兩年而已
兩年內她從kk音痴變成English老師！！
也許文法沒有很正確，但她就是敢說敢秀，只要遇到外國人，她一定湊過去哈啦個兩句
從她學英文開始，每次與她見面，都會跟我們小孩子分享她學英文的心得和有趣英文單字
隨著阿姨不間斷學習的時間越長，我們的對話也越來越不同…
剛開始…”對對對，我之前有學過”
半年後…”哦~~我有在xx(電影裡or某某說)聽過”
一年後…”阿姨妳剛剛說的單字是什麼意思啊？”
現在……”阿姨(翻報紙)這兩個單字是什麼意思啊？”
阿姨真的很厲害，活到老學到老
退休後先是學英文，再是學游泳
她努力不懈的精神，真是令身為年輕人的我汗顏啊…
冏rz，三個月的英文課結束了，最近我又乖乖把書本拿出來複習，不知道可以維持幾天:oops:
